Deaf Ministry & Anointed Signs of Praise

Julia Bray - Director

The deaf ministry is designed to help meet the spiritual needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals who wish to participate in the many programs and services offered at FPC. Sign language interpreting is provided for all services.

The Deaf Ministry strives to bring the Deaf/Hard of Hearing community together through special activities such as sign language classes and other events.

FPC hosts the annual "Lexington Deaf Conference" each year in May. Anointed Signs of Praise is a special group that ministers to our local congregation and throughout the country in various conferences and events.

As part of our mission to communicate the wonderful news of Jesus Christ to our local community, First Pentecostal Church has developed an outreach ministry to serve some of the spiritual needs of the Deaf community in West Tennessee.

Understanding that the spiritual needs of the Deaf community, as with any particular group, are numerous and varied, the Deaf Ministry of FPC has a threefold objective.

We will provide spiritual ministry to the Deaf through:

  • Signed interpretation of our services, Sunday School classes and other events.
  • Integration of the Deaf community into areas of service within the church.
  • Providing regular fellowship opportunities for the Deaf and hearing community.

If you or a loved one is deaf, come and see why FPC is the place where YOU belong!
